This manual for clients and clinicians is a helpful accompaniment to therapy. The manual utilizes cognitive-behavioral principles to help clients learn to use their new skills where it matters most -in the real world. Through a series of five seminars, backed up by reading and reproducible worksheets, this program will show clients techniques to change their attitudes and beliefs, attack avoided words and situations, learn progressive relaxation exercises, use diaries to monitor speech performance and develop "scripts" to enhance their social skills.
